The Unclassified

The drawer that exists so the other drawers can stay honest.

The last volume holds the records that failed to belong anywhere: sources whose attribution is contested, plates whose subject is unreadable, figures that appear in two volumes and satisfy neither. Volume XI is not a curiosity cabinet. It is the archive admitting, in public and by design, that a classification system which never fails is a system that is lying.

Records 1011 to 1111. Realm is Unplaced for every record here, and that is a finding rather than an omission.
